Faerie Houses

I never taught my children about Faeries. Not really. I read to them from Cecily Mary Barker's works and made them faerie wings to wear. I told them that whenever they came to a perfect pair of trees standing close together that it was a faerie door. Whenever they picked up an acorn top to show me I would exclaim, "Oh! That would make a wonderful Faerie bowl!" Then I would help them collect an entire set of this forest tableware.
Regardless of how it came to be, their fondness for providing the wee ones with dwelling places is as great as their proficiency at it.
It is of interest here to mention that the queen's throne (pictured top right) with mushroom scepter is laid upon what mother found to be a carpet of velvety poison ivy!!!!!!!!!! It was quickly removed.........
